For the most part we end up using a linux with the least dislikes. I hope you find one that fits your needs and wants the best. Salix OS may be the one for you!

I am downloading the 64-bit version on account of this review. I will try it on my laptop and see if it handles well. I have formerly used Absolute 13.0.9 another Slackware based distro. It installed well and I used it for a week. But there were some idiosyncrasies (not really problems) that were nonetheless annoying; volume control for example has to be done in the continuously re-setting volume properties. (Absolute, however, had a killer burning app: K3B 1.0.5. No other version of k3b or brasero ever worked as well as this.) Vector never made it passed the boot screen on either my laptop or desktop.

Thanks for taking the time to review Salix OS 46.

I am thankful that I have some small degree of freedom, although I do not abuse it. I eat a lot of oatmeal. Both as itself and in premade bars. I am glad you found out early, I only recently found out. I listened to doctors tell me all sorts of fantasies about why I felt 'bad' so often. There is a weblink on the right side, to a celaic website with some good foods that may be in your area. There are some great resources on the web too. The 'Dummies' book is a great starting place. The author is 'THE' authority. She did almost all the groundwork herself. Before her, all most people knew was they had a problem with gluton, and perhaps a year to live.

I am glad I could help, take it seriously as the censequences of cheating with Celiacs are severe. Best wishes for your future! - Michael

I just found your website. Thankfully! I enjoy reading all about your journey. I was diagnosed with Celiacs in January, so it is a daily struggle for me so far. I know that I will find my way, but so far, it has been difficult as I'm used to eating "kids food" as a mother. I'm the only one in my house with Celiacs so we are all adjusting. Thanks so much for posting!

[...] It seemed only an instant and I was standing holding my rod, and releasing the bait runner drag, ready to see if I actually had a Carp on. The line tightened and my rod bent. I wish I could say it was glorious fight. In very cold water fish are sluggish, and this Carp was no exception. It gave its best fight, but nothing like I would have had in the middle of summer.
Thank you Matt!

It was an impulse gesture at best.
The little girls interaction with the flowers really moved me.
It seemed like a small thing to do.
I hope people who read this story, find impulse opportunities of their own to
perform a meaningful gesture for another person.

Salix is the best Slackware distro to date. Zenwalk is buggy and the installer was a mess. Vector never worked right on any of my machines. Wolvix is nice but Salix is the winner. If you have older hardware, give Salix a try.

It's a difficult issue. I understand both sides of the argument because of how fairly you have presented them here. I look forward to your updates on the subject.
